Showering Program for the
Homeless |

This program, the only one of its kind in the area, offers those people
who live on the streets a safe, comfortable place to come four mornings a
week and shower. Open Door, in a collaborative effort with area
churches and concerned citizens, provide clothes, hygiene items, barber
services, laundry facilities, breakfast and referrals to other appropriate
service agencies. In addition to this, each person is given a sack
lunch as they leave the center. We become the "hands and arms" of
our Lord when we minister to these men and women.
This program:
- Serves an average of 40 homeless people per day.
- Operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:30 -
10:00 a.m.
